Does the web accessibility law apply to me?

Yes or no, from when and under which rule, in less than a minute. The rules come from Spain’s Official State Gazette (BOE) and are explained in our guide to mandatory web accessibility.

01Can a consumer buy, or sign up for a service and pay, on your website or your app?

It also counts if you provide banking or telecommunications services to consumers. And if you are a travel agency, carry passengers or supply electricity, water or gas. An online appointment without payment is a grey area: we explain it in the guide.

03Was your website partly paid for with a grant, such as Kit Digital?
04Do you provide services under an agreement with a public authority (servicios concertados)?

For example, a clinic with an agreement with the public health service.

05Can anyone hire you or buy from you?

Yes for a shop, a law firm, a clinic or a tax and accounting firm.

06Do you have more than 100 employees or a turnover above €6,010,121.04 in one of these sectors?

Telecommunications, financial services or insurance mediation, utilities, travel agency, passenger transport or retail.

07Do you have 250 employees or more, or a turnover above €50 million?

It only counts if you sell to consumers, online or in person.

Where does the result come from?

From Law 11/2023 on accessibility (Ley 11/2023), Royal Decree 193/2023 (Real Decreto 193/2023), Royal Decree 1112/2018 (Real Decreto 1112/2018) and Law 10/2025 on customer service (Ley 10/2025), checked in the BOE on 2 October 2026. Does this test replace professional advice?

No. It gives you guidance on which rules apply to you and from when. There are grey areas, such as whether an online appointment without payment counts as e-commerce, that are worth reviewing with a professional.

Do you store my answers?

No. The test runs in your browser. If you accept analytics, we only record which result you get, never your answers.

What do I do if it applies to me?

Start with the 15 checks in our guide, which take 30 minutes and need no coding skills. They will tell you whether you are close to level AA or far from it. If you are going to rebuild your website, ask for WCAG 2.2 AA to be written into the quote.
