What we would fix first
Would you like us to go through it with you? We will tell you what to change first and how much not doing it could cost you.
Let’s talk about your caseThe score, explained
The score is the weighted average of four blocks. If Google cannot measure speed at that moment, it is calculated from the other three.
- Technical SEO: 35% of the score.
- AI-ready: 30% of the score.
- Mobile speed: 15% of the score.
- Contact and conversion: 20% of the score.
Within each block, each check is weighted by its impact. A “noindex” tag or a robots.txt file that blocks Google counts for much more than an image without alt text. Speed is the mobile performance score from PageSpeed Insights.
To find out whether AI tools can read you, we check your robots.txt for OAI-SearchBot (ChatGPT search) and PerplexityBot, as explained by OpenAI and Perplexity. If you want to know whether they actually recommend you, take the 15-minute test.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what people ask us before we start.
What exactly does it check?
Your home page. It reviews the technical SEO basics, including the business’s structured data, and whether your robots.txt lets Google, Bing, ChatGPT and Perplexity through. It also looks at how much text search engines can see, whether it is easy to get in touch and mobile speed according to Google’s PageSpeed Insights.
Is it the same as your paid audit?
No. This is an automatic one-minute review of your home page. The audit analyses your whole website, your Google Business Profile, what AI tools answer compared with your competitors and how much money your searches are worth, and it ends with the changes already made.
Do you store my website or my data?
We store the address checked, your email address, the score and an encrypted fingerprint of your connection, which is not your IP address. We use them to send you the report and to limit use to 3 analyses a day. We only email you about the result if you tick the box. To measure speed, we send the address to Google’s PageSpeed Insights.
Why is the speed different every time?
The PageSpeed Insights score comes from a simulation and varies from one test to the next. If Google has real Chrome user data for your home page, we use that instead, because that is what counts. If not, treat the simulation as a guide.
Can I check a competitor’s website?
Yes. It is a good way to see what they do better than you. We only read what any search engine can read.
Shall we take a closer look?
This audit looks at your home page. In the full audit we analyse your whole website, your Google Business Profile, what AI tools answer compared with your competitors and how much money your searches are worth.
